European Identity in Cinema

This work investigates questions of identity, whether personal, national or European, by examining cinema in Europe today. It combines a survey of contemporary cinema with chapters on individual directors and films, assessing the nature and concerns of European films, and their relevance to nations at the end of the millennium.
